Medical Equipment and Ancillary Services Limited (MEANS) is a company incorporated in Ghana for consultancy, sales and technical support in healthcare engineering. MEANS expertise covers the complete hospital equipment spectrum. These include, but not limited to, medical imaging and radiotherapy, laboratory, medical gas system, sterilization and infection control, laundry, kitchen, air Handling System, fridges and cold-rooms, critical care devices, ENT, dental, and ophthalmology.

The history of MEANS can be traced to Hospital Engineering Limited (HEL), the local branch of a German biomedical engineering company. By the year 2005, eighty percent (80%) of workers of MEANS worked for HEL, where significant technical experience in the area of healthcare was gained.

A restructuring program by HEL in 2008 led to the formation of Mediwise International Company Limited with its entire technical staff. Mediwise soon established itself as a lead technical support company with the manpower and skills to support turnkey hospital solution providers in Ghana.

In 2016, a reorganization of Mediwise saw it reorient its focus more towards consultancy, away from technical activities. This stimulated a break away by a section of the technical team to form a new independent company called MEDICAL EQUIPMENT AND ANCILLARY SERVICES (MEANS)LIMITED with twenty (20) employees, eighty percent (80%) of whom had been working together for the past 12 years.
